Privacy policy
All Reese LLC gamesEffective
This policy explains what happens to information when you play games published by Reese LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. It also covers this website.
The short version: we do not know who you are. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server of ours that receives your gameplay. Nearly everything described below is data that Google collects to show ads, or that Apple handles to process a payment. We hold almost nothing, which means there is usually nothing on our side to look up or delete.
That summary is not a substitute for the sections below. Where the two differ, the sections below are what governs.
What this policy covers
Reese LLC publishes games for iOS. This policy covers every game we publish and the website at reesellc.games.
Individual games also have their own policies. Where a game policy is more specific about that game, the game policy controls. We do this so a policy never describes a feature a game does not have.
We are the data controller for the limited processing we carry out ourselves. Google and Apple act on their own account for much of what is described here, and the sections below say exactly where that line falls.
What we collect, and what third parties collect
This distinction matters more than anything else in this document, so it comes first.
Collected by Reese LLC
Nothing that identifies you. Specifically:
- There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address inside a game.
- We operate no server that receives your gameplay, your scores, or your settings.
- We use no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. No Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Amplitude, no attribution or install-tracking SDKs of any kind.
- What we do receive is aggregate reporting from Apple in App Store Connect: how many copies were downloaded, how much was sold, and grouped crash reports. Apple aggregates this before we see it, and it does not identify individual people.
Collected by third parties inside the games
This is where essentially all data collection happens. The parties are:
- Google, through the AdMob advertising SDK. The advertising section sets out exactly what it collects.
- Apple, for payments, Game Center, iCloud sync, and crash reporting. Each has its own section below.
We do not receive copies of what Google collects. We cannot search it, export it, or delete it on your behalf, and we say so again in the sections on your rights.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Which ads the games show
- A banner at the bottom of the screen while you play.
- An optional video, offered after a failed round. It never plays unless you tap to start it, and skipping it costs you nothing except that round.
- No full-screen ads on launch, between rounds, or when a round ends. Nothing plays without you asking for it, apart from the banner.
What Google collects to serve them
Google and its advertising partners collect and process the following through the AdMob SDK:
- Device identifiers. Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), but only if you permit tracking when asked, plus Google's own advertising identifiers for the device.
- IP address, and coarse location derived from it. This is approximate, at roughly the city or region level. The games never request precise or GPS location, and iOS will never show you a location permission prompt for it.
- Device and app information. Model, operating system version, language, screen dimensions, and the app version.
- Ad interaction data. Which ads were requested and shown, whether you tapped one, how long it was on screen, and similar measurement data.
Google is an independent controller of this data, not a vendor acting on our instructions. Google decides its own purposes, its own retention periods, and its own onward disclosures for the data it collects through AdMob. We do not direct it and we cannot access it.
Google's own terms govern that processing:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, which is the partner-sites notice
- The data AdMob collects and how it is used
- Google My Ad Center, where you can change or turn off ad personalization on your Google account
App Tracking Transparency
iOS requires an app to ask permission before it can use the Advertising Identifier or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Our games present that prompt.
- If you allow it, the IDFA becomes available to Google, and ads may be personalized to you.
- If you decline, no IDFA is available, and we request non-personalized ads from Google instead.
Declining changes nothing about the game. No feature is locked, no timer is added, no extra ads appear, and nothing is made slower or harder. You get exactly the same game that someone who allowed tracking gets. We consider that a condition of asking at all.
You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. You can also reset the advertising identifier there.
Non-personalized is not the same as no data
We would rather be accurate than flattering here. When ads are non-personalized, Google still processes your IP address, coarse location, and device information in order to deliver an ad, to cap how often you see the same one, to measure whether it was seen, and to detect fraud. What changes is that the ad is chosen from context rather than from a profile built about you.
If you are in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland
Consent
Before any ad loads, our games present Google's User Messaging Platform consent form. It asks whether you agree to the storing and reading of information on your device and to the use of your data for personalized advertising, and it lists the advertising partners involved. Your choices are recorded and passed to Google, which serves ads accordingly.
You can change your choices at any time from the Settings screen inside the game, which reopens the same form. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect processing that already took place.
Legal basis for processing
- Storing or reading identifiers on your device, and personalized advertising
- Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. This is the consent collected through the form described above.
- Non-personalized advertising, frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention
- Legitimate interests, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: funding a game that is free to play, and keeping the advertising in it working and not fraudulent. You have the right to object to this, and the rights list below explains how.
- Delivering a purchase you made and restoring it later
- Performance of a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Keeping tax and business records
- Legal obligation, under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data is held about you and get a copy of it
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have data erased
- Restrict how data is processed
- Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of what happened before you withdrew it
- Complain to your national supervisory authority, or to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are in the UK
Here is the practical part. Because we hold no data that identifies you, we usually cannot find records that are yours, and we will tell you that plainly rather than pretend to search. For advertising data, the holder is Google, and Google's controls at its privacy policy and My Ad Center are the effective route. For purchases and iCloud data the holder is Apple, at privacy.apple.com. Write to us anyway if you want help, and we will point you to the right place and do what we can on our end.
Transfers outside the EEA and UK
Reese LLC is in the United States, and Google and Apple process data in the United States and elsewhere. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum where applicable, and the additional safeguards each provider maintains. Details are in the Google and Apple policies linked throughout this document.
If you are in California
This section is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.
Categories collected in the past twelve months
- Identifiers
- The Advertising Identifier, where you permitted tracking, Google's advertising identifiers, and IP address. Collected by Google through the AdMob SDK on your device.
- Internet or other electronic network activity
- Ad requests, impressions, taps, viewability, and device and app information. Collected by Google.
- Geolocation data
- Coarse location inferred from IP address, at roughly city or region level. Not precise geolocation. We never request location permission.
- Commercial information
- The fact that a purchase was made and which product it was, received from Apple as a receipt. Not your payment details.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CCPA defines it, we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes beyond those described in this policy, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing Google to use device identifiers to personalize advertising is “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA, and it may also fall inside the CPRA's broad definition of a “sale.” We treat it as both, so that your rights are not narrowed by our reading of the statute.
How to opt out of sale and sharing
- Decline the tracking prompt, or turn off Allow Tracking in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. This is our opt-out mechanism. It takes effect immediately and no ad personalization occurs after it.
- Or email us at support@reesellc.games and we will confirm the setting with you.
Your other rights
- To know what is collected, used, and disclosed, and to get a copy
- To delete personal information
- To correct inaccurate personal information
- To limit the use of sensitive personal information, which does not arise here because we do not collect any
- Not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
On that last point, concretely: we will not degrade the games, show you more ads, or charge you a different price because you exercised a right. Remove Ads costs the same either way.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, and we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days if we tell you why.
If you live in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have broadly similar rights. Use the same address and we will apply your state's standard.
In-app purchases
Apple processes every payment. We never receive, see, or store your card number, your billing address, or your Apple ID password. There is no payment form anywhere in our games or on this website.
What we do receive
When a purchase completes, Apple returns a signed receipt to the app. It confirms that a transaction happened and identifies the product and the transaction, and the app validates it in order to unlock what you bought. It does not contain your name, your email address, or any payment detail.
Restore Purchases asks Apple whether your Apple ID has previously bought a permanent unlock. Apple answers with a receipt. We do not learn your Apple ID from this.
Separately, Apple gives us sales and financial reports in App Store Connect. Those are aggregate figures. They do not identify buyers.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue one. Use Apple's refund process. Purchase history is held in your Apple account, and Apple's handling of it is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you never sign in, none of this happens and nothing in the games stops working.
If you do sign in, Apple associates your scores and achievements with your Game Center profile, and Apple stores that data. We do not run leaderboards ourselves and we keep no copy of them. What reaches us is an identifier that Apple scopes to our games, plus whatever display name you have chosen to show, which is used to place you on a leaderboard and nothing else.
Apple's handling of Game Center data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. You can sign out or reset your Game Center data from iOS Settings.
iCloud sync
Your progress can follow you between devices using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, tied to your Apple ID. That data lives in your own iCloud account. We cannot read it, and we hold no copy of it.
To turn it off, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and turn off iCloud Drive or the entry for the game. Turning it off leaves your progress on the device you are using.
Crash and performance reports
We use only the reporting that Apple builds into iOS. It sends us nothing unless you have turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements. That setting is yours, and it is off unless you turned it on.
When it is on, we see grouped crash logs and performance metrics in App Store Connect: which line of code crashed, on which device model and iOS version, and how often. Apple aggregates this. It is not tied to your name, your Apple ID, or your account.
We use no third-party crash or analytics SDK. There is no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no Firebase, and no Bugsnag in our games.
Data stored on your device
Your settings, level progress, currency balances, unlocked cosmetics, and remaining consumable counts are stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us and we have no way to read it.
Deleting the app deletes it, with one exception: anything that has synced to your own iCloud stays in your iCloud until you remove it there.
Children
Our games are rated 9+ on the App Store and are intended for a general audience. Our games are not directed to children under 13 within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We do not participate in the App Store Kids Category. Apps in that category operate under stricter rules, and we do not claim to meet them.
In practice, we collect no personal information from anyone of any age. There is no account, no name, no email address, and no way for players to contact each other. Advertising is configured for a general, non-mature audience.
Parents and guardians: if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through one of our games, email support@reesellc.games. We will delete anything we hold and tell you what is held by Apple or Google instead, along with how to reach them.
Retention and deletion
We keep almost nothing, so for most requests there is nothing on our side to delete. Here is where each kind of data actually lives and how to get rid of it.
- Data on your device
- Yours. Delete the app and it is gone.
- Data in your iCloud
- Yours, in your Apple account. Remove it from iOS Settings or at privacy.apple.com.
- Game Center scores and achievements
- Held by Apple. Reset or delete them through Game Center in iOS Settings.
- Purchase records
- Held by Apple in your purchase history. We keep aggregate sales figures with no identifiers, and we retain business and tax records for as long as the law requires.
- Advertising data
- Held by Google, retained according to Google's own schedules, which are set out in the Google Privacy Policy. We cannot delete it for you.
Making a request
Email support@reesellc.games and say what you want. You do not need a particular form of words. We reply within 30 days for requests under the GDPR and within 45 days for requests under the CCPA. If your request concerns data we do not hold, we will say so directly and tell you which of Apple or Google holds it instead, rather than sending you an empty file.
This website
reesellc.games is a static website hosted by Vercel. It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts, and no third-party fonts. There is no contact form and no newsletter, so there is nothing here that collects your details.
Vercel, as our hosting provider, records standard server request information such as IP address, user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. This is used to serve pages and to protect the site against abuse. Vercel processes it on our behalf as our service provider.
If we ever add analytics to this site, we will update this section and name the product before turning it on.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the effective date shown at the top of the page. If a change materially affects what is collected about you or how it is used, we will say so inside the app as well, before the change takes effect where that is possible.
If you want a copy of an earlier version, ask us and we will send it.
